Our partner school in Watford is dedicated to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where students with SEN can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The school provides tailored support and individualised learning programs to meet the diverse needs of its students. The Head is inspirational having been in post since 2019 she has successfully brought the school to Good and now has Outstanding within her sights. The school is able to offer the chance to specialise in area's of educational interest. With a team of experienced professional teachers and a range of specialised resources, the school ensures that every student receives the support they require to reach their full potential.

Role Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEN, preferably within an educational setting is an advantage but an upbeat and positive mindset is key
  • The ability to support students effectively and demonstrate an understanding of different types of SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong academic background
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting students' well-being
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
