Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an unqualified Teacher to work in a secondary SEMH provision in Wythenshawe . The school caters for young people with social, emotional and mental health issues. This is a great role for those who want to gain experience as a Teacher, and have previous experience running sessions of PE, life skills or pastoral skills with young people.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be running Lessons for students aged 11-16 years old. The class sizes are quite small, around 6-10 students. All the students have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) that you will be able to refer to when teaching them. The timetable is around 14 lessons of PE, Cover slots, PSHE and some Science sessions 11-16 year olds.

Some students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, or have mental health issues that result in some challenging behaviour, so you will also have to be prepared to manage that behaviour and provide mentoring and pastoral support for the young people.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional references
