Role Description

This is a full-time role as a SEND Teaching Assistant at lovely SEN Primary School located in Hounslow.

The role would involve planning, leading the class, completing reports etc as well as managing the three other staff. The School are looking for someone fun and creative who can create engaging lessons. You will need to be proactive and able to create bonds with the children. You will be supporting the children with medical needs, sensory needs and challenging behaviour. The School is looking for someone who can communicate well with other members of staff, children and other adults.

The hours are from 8.30am - 3.45pm.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Knowledge of different learning difficulties and strategies to support students
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to support students in their individual learning plans
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
  • A patient and empathetic approach to working with students
  • Must have experience Teaching children with PMLD, SLD and or MLD
