  • Starting Salary: up to £38,000.00
  • Location: Royston, Cambs/Herts Border
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
  • Contract Term: Permanent
  • Working Hours: 8.30am – 4.00pm
  • Start Date: September 2024

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our nurturing community at a new SEN school in the Royston area.This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher with experience in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ready to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people in a fully inclusive environment.

Day to day of the role:
  • Teach all allocated areas of the curriculum, planning, preparing, and presenting lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic and imaginative presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to ensure a high standard of education.
  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing regular feedback to pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Employ a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote pupils’ engagement and learning.
  • Create and maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
  • Maintain discipline within the classroom in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified or Unqualified Teacher 
  • Successful primary school teaching experience, preferably with SEND focus.
  • A good knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Strong commitment to inclusive educational practices.
