Are you a Teacher looking for a full time SEN teacher role in Camden? Are you a calm and professional teacher with a passion for teaching children with social emotional and mental health needs?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a full-time SEN teacher for this specialist school who offer support for children who have struggled in mainstream education. This is a full-time, long-term role for the full academic year 2024/2025.

The School:

A leading independent special school with a fully integrated specialist NHS clinical team located 5 minutes' away. For over 50 years this school has pioneered therapeutic educational work with children. They are a small school working with up to 21 children aged between 5-14 across Key Stages 1,2 & 3.

The school provides a model of good practice that fits the Education, Health and Care Plan model. Therapists, specialist nurses and education staff work closely together to support the learning and development of children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, their families/carers and the professional network around them.

As a SEN teacher you will be responsible for the below:

  • Planning, delivering and assessing work for pupils with SEMH
  • Working with TAs to ensure support is both appropriate and effective
  • Contributing to the setting of targets for children
  • Working alongside other professionals in the wider support network
  • Liaising with parents / carers

To join us and be successful in this role you will need:

  • Full QTS
  • Previous experience teaching children/young learners with SEMH
  • Availability for 3 days / week
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
