Randstad work exclusively with the Empower Learning Academy trust to support all of their recruitment needs. We have an opportunity for an SEN Teacher/Tutor to join an outstanding secondary school in Upminster supporting one of their students with additional needs. This is a temporary role starting in September.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide appropriate levels of individual attention, reassurance and help for pupils needs as identified in Individual Education/Healthcare Plans
  • Support pupils access to the curriculum, their learning in particular lessons and their progress towards specific individual targets
  • Foster pupil independence through improvement in their knowledge, skills, understanding and behaviour
  • Support behaviour management at the beginning and end of lessons and during lesson transfer

To be successful you will have:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Experience working with children
  • Enhanced DBS (we can support with this)
  • 2 references
