Job Overview:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students across various age groups. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to an inclusive and dynamic educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the overall planning of lessons.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing social and life skills, fostering independence.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and contribute to a positive and respectful classroom culture.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders involved in the students' education.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Basic understanding of educational technology and resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Up to date D.B.S check ( or must be willing to apply for one )
