About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with ADHD at a school in Doncaster. This ongoing role starts in September and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a child's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 student with ADHD
  • Assist in implementing the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP)
  • Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the child's needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor and report on the pupil's progress
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to support the student's development

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ADHD or other SEN
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
