About School

This is a co-educational secondary school, catering to students aged 11-16 years old (Key Stages 3 and 4). This school caters to secondary aged children with Autism, ADHD, and PMLD (Profound, Multiple Learning Difficulties). They offer a comprehensive curriculum that promotes both academic and social development, featuring excellent facilities tailored to their children's specific needs.

Requirements

  • Resilient, caring, and dedicated individual committed to supporting SEN learners in an educational setting
  • Experience in care or education
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)-this is essential
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Randstad - this is essential
  • Provide 2 professional references - this is essential
  • Passion for working with SEN children
  • Relevant GCSE, 'A' level or graduate qualifications or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Supporting KS3-KS4 SEN learners on a 1:1, small group, and classroom basis
  • Attend student's personal needs and offer guidance on welfare matters
  • Assisting learners with severe and complex needs
  • Collaborating with the teacher to support learning objectives
  • Prepare materials of the quality and quantity specified by the teacher
  • Support behaviour management at the beginning and end of lessons and during lesson transfer
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality, challenging, and tailored educational activities aligned with a diverse and comprehensive curriculum
  • Help Children to reach their full potential across all learning domains
