Hays Education are working closely with an SEN school in Leek who are seeking dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to provide ad hoc support. We have both short-term and long-term supply positions available.
Position Details:

• Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
• Contract Type: Temporary (Short-Term/Long-Term Supply)
• Salary: £85 - £100 per day
• Working Hours: 08:30 AM - 03:30 PM, Monday to Friday
• Location: Leek

About the School:

A primary generic Special School that caters to children aged 4 to 11 with a range of needs. The schools specialise in working with children who have moderate to severe learning difficulties, including those with communication challenges, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant in a Special School, you will:

• Motivate and Inspire: Create engaging and practical lessons that make learning fun.
• Adapt Teaching Styles: Tailor your teaching approach to meet the needs of primary-aged children.
• Collaborate: Work closely with other staff members, including teachers and teaching assistants.
• Support Learning: Assist pupils in various classroom settings, both individually and in groups.
• Create a Positive Environment: Organise and manage learning resources effectively.
• Build Relationships: Establish constructive connections with parents/carers to support attendance and learning.
