Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston (Approximately 10 Miles on the Outskirts - Driver Only)
Pay: £85-£95 per day
Hours: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have experience working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other additional needs? If so, we want you to join our team!

About Us: We are a specialist SEN school located just outside Preston, dedicated to supporting students aged 8 to 19 years old with ASD and other additional needs. Our SEN Teaching Assistants play a crucial role in creating a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where our students can achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students with ASD and additional needs.
  • Work closely with teachers to support the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, tailored to their specific needs.
  • Help students with daily activities and promote independence.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on students' progress and any concerns to the teaching staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with SEN and ASD.
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • A passionate and caring attitude towards supporting young people.
  • Driver with access to a vehicle (essential).
  • No formal qualifications required - your experience and passion are what matter most.
