Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant 

Contract Type: Full-time - September Start 

Salary: £85 per day

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your sporty background equips you with unique skills that can make a significant impact on children with diverse learning needs. Your ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively under pressure, adapt strategies on the go, and lead by example are invaluable in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with teachers to help every child reach their personal best.

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Personalized Support:
    • Offer personalised 1:1 assistance to pupils with special educational needs, adapting teaching techniques to foster their confidence and independence.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver activities, supporting pupils during transitions and daily routines.
  • Emotional Well-being:
    • Help pupils regulate their behavior and emotions, encouraging positive interactions and social skills.
  • Assessment and Insights:
    • Contribute to formal SEND assessments while also sharing valuable insights with families and home schools.
  • Swift Return to Education:
    • Our goal is to facilitate a swift return to long-term education settings.
  • Teamwork:
    • Collaborate with other teaching assistants, teachers, and support staff.
