Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide additional support to a child in Year 4 at a mainstream school. This ongoing contract position is set to begin in September.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a child with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement tailored interventions and strategies to support the child's academic and social development.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, communicating effectively with teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere, promoting confidence and independence in the child.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and strategies for supporting learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (preferred).
