Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for work in Darwen from September?

A one-form entry Primary School in Darwen is looking for a SEN teaching assistant to work full time 8.30-3.30 Monday to Friday, with daily pay rates £85-£90. This role is to work 32.5 hours per week from September working for the full academic year.

This school is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive KS1 team, within school there is a sense of togetherness and unity. This role is to work 1:1 with a child within Year 1 who is working at 12months old level. The child benefits greatly from a calm and consistent approach. The child has a EHCP which is implemented alongside advice from the speech and language specialist.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
  • Experience of working with SEND
  • Experience of the National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of the intervention strategies
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
