SEN Teaching Assistant - Oldham - September

We are working with a Good secondary school in Oldham, who are looking to secure the services of an experienced, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from September until July 25.

It is essential that you have experience, supporting pupils with additional needs. This particular role is to support the needs of students with SEN, who may display low-level challenging behaviours and can become disengaged from learning quite quickly. You must be comfortable with EBD/SEMH. To be successful in this role, it is essential you are calm, resilient, and overall, have a good sense of humour. The role will mainly be working with students on a 121 basis, however there may be times where you may work with up to 6 students at a time.

This is a school that the students feel safe in and happy to attend, with a strong sense of pride in their own school. The leaders expectations for behaviour are high but these high expectations are matched by the students. The students are punctual and show enthusiasm when it comes to their education. There are also chances to get involved in other activities outside of the classroom: range of sports, drama clubs and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
