SEN Teaching Assistant

Cover people are seeking experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in our schools across Stockport. As a Teaching Assistant you will contribute to the academic and social development of the school’s students, whilst also creating a safe and secure environment.

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant     Location: Stockport    Daily rate: £85- £95

The Role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? As a Teaching Assistant you must be confident in managing challenging behaviour.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you must:

• Must hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
• Experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and complex needs.
• Patience and empathy when working with children with SEN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices with the ability to adapt to any situation.
• Flexibility to work in different classes and subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one support to children with SEN, helping them to participate in all aspects of the curriculum.
• Supporting the educational and social development of children with special educational needs (SEN).
• Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans for pupils.
