Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with learning needs? Do you thrive in an educational setting, helping students achieve their full potential? If so, we have a great opportunity for you for September.
We are an education agency representing an excellent Secondary School located in Haringey. This forward-thinking, modern school is seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a small, regular group of students who require additional support for behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a students with learning needs,
- Assist the students with ways to cope with situations that they find challenging and provide strategies that they can put into place and get them back to fully taking part in school life again
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement strategies to promote the student's social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the progress academically and behaviourally is being made.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with behaviour needs is essential.
- A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident, firm but fair approach
- Ability to adapt and differentiate teaching strategies to meet the student's unique requirements.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
