SEN Teaching Assistant

A specialist SEN school in Reading are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to take on the role of supporting students with complex learning disabilities and additional needs. The school are looking for a passionate, educated SEN Teaching Assistant to join them in providing a guarantee of quality education and consistent support for their students. The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant will be to work in small groups or a 1-1 basis, building trusted relationships to ensure students' receive tailored support during their educational career. The responsibilities include (but are not limited to) helping students stay on task and achieve the education goals set, advocating for the students' individual needs as well as helping them learn how to approach day-to-day struggles they may encounter.

The school have an excellent line up of support staff, teachers and specialist professionals who are highly passionate about promoting students' mental wellbeing and providing them with high quality education. Working as a SEN Teaching Assistant will be a highly rewarding and fulfilling for any individual, especially candidates looking to pursue a career in education, psychology or criminology. Working with children or in an education setting would be beneficial experience to have as an applicant but not mandatory. The ideal candidate would have achieved a 2:1 in their degree of a relevant subject, graduates are encouraged to apply
