SEN Teaching Assistant

About the role:

We’re currently looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an 'outstanding' rated special school in South Leeds. This is a long term, full time role due to start in September with the potential of a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting children and young people aged from 4 to 18 with autism, complex needs and various learning disabilities on a 1:1 basis and within a group.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting
  • A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils
  • Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils
  • Have a patient and nurturing approach in the classroom
