Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN Provision in Blackley. The students are working at a low ability, and need extra support engaging with the curriculum. It is a secondary school, catering for KS3 and 4 students.

These young people will have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to help them to engage with the curriculum.

Your role will be to provide mentorship and academic support to Key stage 3 and 4 students. Ideally you will be drawing on still you have, from a background or studies in the following areas; health & social care, psychology, youth work, sports coaching.

You must have UK school experience to apply for this role.

Hours- Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.45pm

You would be working with children with various learning disabilities and need extra support in the classroom. If you are looking towards a career in Education Psychology or teaching, then this is a perfect opportunity!

You must be prepared to support children with SEN, and therefore provide an environment where they can reach their potential in all areas. Also, you should be able to build rapports with the children and support their social and behavioural needs.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
