As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you'll play a vital role in aiding teachers to deliver a captivating and enriching curriculum. You'll provide supplementary learning experiences, aiding pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development. Working closely with children and young individuals requiring tailored learning programs, you'll strive to unlock their full educational potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Punctual and reliable
  • Assess children who have long or short-term learning difficulties and work with colleagues to identify individual pupil's special needs
  • Use special equipment and facilities, such as audiovisual materials and computers to stimulate interest in learning
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning



Preferred Skills:

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Commitment to working with pupils with special educational needs
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience



Personal Attributes:

  • you will have a genuine passion for supporting SEN pupils
  • experience up to key stage 1/2
  • Be flexible and committed



All candidates will be subject to Randstad Education's child protection and UK eligibility vetting including a DBS check and providing satisfactory references. A DBS on the update service would be a distinct advantage due to the urgent nature of some of these roles.
