Empowering Learning is working with a primary school within Stockport who is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEN 1-2-1 Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to a specific child with special educational needs on a 1-2-1 basis.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies in collaboration with teachers and SENCO.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and provide targeted interventions.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Promote social and emotional development, helping the child to build confidence and independence.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of the child.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their educational journey.
