Vocational Lead
  • Salary: Teachers Main Pay Scale (Outer London) plus TLR
  • Location: Croydon
  • Job Type: Full-time

Reed Education is working in partnership with a well-respected SEN trust, catering to students with Educational Health Care Plans and additional needs. This role is ideal for an experienced instructor with a passion for supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional, learning, and social communication difficulties.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead the vocational department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all pupils.
  • Develop and implement strategies to motivate pupils towards high achievement.
  • Collaborate with specialist and mainstream schools, outside agencies, and community sectors to enhance the educational experience of the pupils.
  • Uphold the ethos of Love, Flourishing, Community, and Social Justice within the school environment.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified instructor status with experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs).
  • Strong leadership skills with the energy, vision, and passion for educational excellence.
  • Commitment to the Trust’s ethos and values.
  • Satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
  • Legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
