We are currently supporting a local primary school in Huntingdonshire to appoint a SENCO/Teacher for September 2024.

Working directly with the school on a permanent basis, This full time role will be split between the responsibilities of that of a SENCo and of a class teacher. The split will proceed as follows: SENCo (3 days) /Class Teacher (2 days). This is a fantastic opportunity, especially for someone looking for a new change and or challenge in the new academic year. During this time, you will not only be working alongside a welcoming and professional team, you will also receive the opportunity to widen your existing skills set around the SENCo position. The successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive CPD programme including SENCo induction sessions which will see you make the most of a wide range of support from the SENCo Community. This collaborative and professional network provides you with regular online sessions, SENCo forums and visitations to other schools within the trust, to help best develop your own skill set and give you the opportunity to share your own existing knowledge.

Requirements / About you:

  • Have experience of working as a Class Teacher and SENCo in a primary school
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Be enthusiastic, ambitious and serious about improving children's life chances through education
  • Be highly organised, conscientious and able to set clear priorities when managing a busy workload
  • Be able work cooperatively and communicate clearly with fellow colleagues, parents and pupils
  • Have a 'can-do' attitude and has the ability to use their initiative
  • Be able to work flexibly and professionally

Salary - Payscale: Mainscale (+ SEN allowance £2,539 pro rata)
