The institution provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SENCo to join their team. This is a non-teaching role, allowing the successful candidate to focus entirely on the coordination and management of SEN provisions within the AP. Develop and oversee the implementation of the school's SEN policy.
Coordinate and manage SEN provision across the school.
Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to provide tailored support for students with SEMH needs.
Conduct assessments and monitor the progress of students with SEN.
Ensure that the school is compliant with all statutory SEN regulations and guidelines.
Provide training and support for staff on SEN and inclusive practices.
Liaise with parents and guardians to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a SENCo role, ideally within an alternative provision setting.
In-depth knowledge of SEMH needs and appropriate support strategies.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment.

What We Offer:

A permanent position starting in September.
The opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children with SEMH needs.
A supportive and collaborative working environment.
Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

If you are a dedicated and experienced SENCo with a passion for supporting children with SEMH needs, we would love to hear from you. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our students and helping them reach their full potential.
