SENCo Role at Secondary School in Central Northampton

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SENCo to join our vibrant secondary school in central Northampton.

Position: SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) 

Location: Central Northampton 

Salary: £150 per day 

Working Days: 5 days per week 

Start Date: ASAP (pending compliance checks)

About the Role: We are seeking a qualified SENCo or an individual with previous experience in a similar role to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing SEN provision across the school, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the school's SEN policy.
  • Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students with SEN.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision.
  • Provide training and support to staff on SEN issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Requirements:

  • SENCo qualification or significant experience in a SENCo role.
  • Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
