Legal Services is on the lookout for dedicated and creative-thinking Lawyers to join our Corporate Governance and Regulatory Team, focusing on Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Tribunal work. If you are a Lawyer with a passion for making a difference and a “can do” attitude, this is an opportunity to provide crucial legal advice and support on all aspects of special educational needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide legal advice and support on various aspects of special educational needs, including decision-making, policy, and procedure.
  • Manage a varied caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals.
  • Conduct advocacy in case management hearings and final hearings in the First Tier SEND Tribunal.
  • Work independently, managing your time and caseload effectively while maintaining high standards of work.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to the team’s success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Lawyer with the right to practice in the UK.
  • Good technical knowledge and experience in special educational needs law.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals.
  • Strong advocacy skills and experience in case management and final hearings.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a team player mentality.
  • Exceptional communication skills for building strong client relationships.
