A growing Autistic Resourced Provision within a Merton based primary school are looking for a qualified SEND Primary Teacher to join them from September on a full-time basis.
The Role
In this role you will take on full-time class teaching responsibility for a class of 6 pupils with Autism. All pupils in the class have diagnosed Autism and will vary in their communication ability and learning needs. As the provision is growing, there will be the opportunity to support the development of the resources and learning areas and you will work closely with senior management in the school alongside the other teachers and support staff in the provision.
The school are ideally looking for a SEND Primary Teacher who has previous experience within a specialist SEND school or ARP. They are open to applications from qualified primary teachers who have a passion and desire to move in to the Special Needs sector.
The School
This specialist Autistic Resourced Provision is set within the grounds of a popular mainstream primary school in Merton. Since opening in 2018, the provision has grown and is now building a new additional learning space for primary aged pupils with Autism. Students within the ARP work independently but are included in whole school activities and regularly work alongside pupils in mainstream classes. The school benefits from a dedicated and dynamic leadership team and there are excellent opportunities for staff to access professional development and career progression.
