SEND Quality Officer

  • Reports to: Assistant Director
  • Location: Uxbridge
  • Salary: up to £38,000
  • Type: 37 hours per week

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Uxbridge.

Main Duties

  • Stay updated on SEND legislation and inform key staff about regulations and requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with SEND regulations, including IEP approvals, and manage deadlines for staff.
  • Develop early warning systems for potential non-compliance and oversee support arrangements for SEND students.
  • Liaise with external agencies, confirm support service allocations, and manage records of support visits and actions.
  • Prepare and present SEND quality reports for management, summarize risks, and ensure timely performance reviews.
  • Assist with documentation for Ofsted visits, maintain SEND intranet pages, and review college policies on SEND provision.
  • Induct and train staff on SEND systems, assist in managing SEND support staff, and participate in relevant training and development activities.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a quality assurance position
  • Proven experience in overseeing ALS/SEN services
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Able to pass a DBS check
  • No previous convictions
