SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant / Classroom Support Assistant - SN1

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? My client is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a vibrant primary school. This role offers the opportunity to support and inspire children, helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This role will be starting in September and is for 27.5 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils' emotional, physical, and educational development
  • Assisting with the planning, delivery, and monitoring of Individual Education Plan targets
  • Helping pupils develop social skills both in and out of the classroom
  • Providing feedback on pupils’ learning and behavior to teachers and SENDCo
  • Maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring learning materials meet pupils’ needs

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Good general education, including Maths and English GCSE grade C or above
  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • Experience working within Key Stage One/Early Years curriculum and supporting SEND children
  • Confident and passionate about delivering quality intervention programs
