Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised or small group support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), specifically those with autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Help pupils access the curriculum and engage in school activities.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure the needs of each pupil are met.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos and values of the school.
Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with autism and ADHD is preffered.
  • Knowledge of SEND and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
