SEN Subject Teacher: Science
Daily Rate: Paid to scale
Location: Cheshire East
Contract Type: Long Term / Temp-Perm
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)
The school is currently recruiting for Science teachers
The successful applicants will have:
- QTS or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH and/or EBD.
- Previous experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behavior.
- Strong behaviour management skills - positive behaviour reinforcement.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents/careers.
- Valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service (or willing to process a new one).
The role will consist of:
- Planning, preparing and delivering lessons
- Teaching to a class of varying learning levels & abilities
- Work closely with students, their parents/careers and other members of staff to make sure that the students are happy and learning well
- Adapting the syllabus according to the individual students' EHCP
- Make appropriate use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupil's progress
