Long- Term Teachers are working with a fantastic mainstream Church of England Junior School with a SENDResource Base, for pupils aged 7 - 11. Part of a fantastic multi academy trust, that supports a number of Specialist provisions in and around Wiltshire, you will join a vibrant, caring community of support staff and teachers, all of which have a genuine passion for making a difference to the childrens lives.

Commencing in September 2024, you will have the opportunity to work on a full time, permanent basis with an incredible team, with excellent opportunities to develop and broaden your experiences and opportunities!

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is committed to being an excellent SEND classroom practitioner.

  • Is highly motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic, and passionate about education.

  • Recognises that each day matters to every child.

  • Works effectively as a member of a team and is committed to inclusion.

  • Demonstrates creativity in their approach to teaching and learning.

  • Can build strong relationships with staff, children and parents.

  • Has an understanding of EHCPs.

  • Has Qualified Teacher Status

Some of your key duties:

  • To ensure the good behaviour, safety and security of all CYP in your care and to develop within them positive attitudes towards others and the environment
  • To prepare, implement and review individual programmes and schemes of work in consultation with key employees and support professionals and in line with the curricular objectives of the EP
  • To provide the HT with planning of all activities on a short, medium and long term basis
  • To participate in further training and the development of your own professional skills and knowledge
  • To take responsibility for at least one subject specialism
  • To support other employees and share knowledge in areas of particular expertise
