SEND Teaching Assistant - Newham

We are currently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work within an SEND school based in Newham on a part-time or full-time basis.

You will be supporting pupils with different SEND needs Autism and ADHD will be the two key areas of support. Experience in supporting pupils with SEND needs is desirable but not essential. You will be supporting children on a one-to-one and group basis. We are looking for individuals that are dedicated to supporting children of different age groups and have the ability to adapt.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Assist with personal care
  • Supporting pupils though out the school day
  • Engageing with pupils at all time within the classroom and on break times

Job Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or willing to apply for a new one.
  • Available 3-5 days a week and able to commit to at least 6 months
