Tradewind is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Stockport this September. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to make a significant impact in a KS1 class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Foster a positive, nurturing atmosphere for all students
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within SEND
  • Strong understanding of the challenges and strategies involved in supporting KS1 students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, compassionate approach to working with children
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND education is highly desirable
