We are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant in Salford.

Role - SEND Teaching Assistant at special needs high school in Salford.

  • Supporting pupils with Complex Needs including Autism and challenging behaviours.
  • Working in small groups and 1:1 at times.
  • Teamwork with the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants.
  • Managing emotions and behaviour so that teacher can focus on learning.

Times - Monday to Friday 8:15am-3:15pm.

Contract - Start September 2024, full time & long term. Could go perm for the right person.

Pay - Up to £95/day for first 12 weeks, equal pay to permanent staff from 13th week.

  • Paid PAYE via Tradewind, we don't use umbrella companies!

  • Special Needs high school in Salford,
  • All students have an EHCP for Autism, SEMH & Learning, Communication or Sensory needs.
  • Most students working at lower levels than expected for their age.
  • Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils including TA support.
  • Collaborative teamwork atmosphere.

To join us and be successful in this SEND Teaching Assistant role in Salford, you will need to:

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the Update Service (or be happy to pay for a new one).
  • Minimum of two professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with full education & work.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Some experience supporting children with special needs.
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
