Specialist SEND Teaching Assistants Needed in Shrewsbury

Position: Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Shrewsbury
Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized learning activities.
Support the class teacher in creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and support their development.
Promote positive behavior and assist students in developing self-regulation and social skills.
Liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young adults with SEND.
A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEND education is an advantage.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
