SEND Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are currently looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a student at our lovely client primary school in Bolton.
Job Title: 1 to 1 Teaching Asisstant
Location: Bolton
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £83 - £95 per day, subject to experience

This exciting opportunity will begin in September 2024 and you will be required to complete the full Academic Year
The Role:
The school is a lovely one-form entry school, with 'Good' Ofsted, that is dedicated to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of their students.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing specialised support for a student with SEMH and Autism
- Academic learning support utilising your knowledge of the Year 6 National Curriculum
- Implement differentiated and targeted educational and behavioural strategies to support the student
- Collaborating with teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure the child's academic and social progress
- Utilising a shared interest of sport and football to build a trusting and nurturing relationship with the student and foster a safe learning environment
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Experience working with students with SEND, including ASC
- Experience supporting in year 6 or strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedicated to supporting
- A patient and empathetic approach to working with children
- Subject to providing Full CV History, Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check, and Overseas police clearance (where necessary)
