Tradewind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 SEND role at a highly-regarded, one-form entry school in central Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a child with complex requirements while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to a student with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Assist in implementing personalised learning plans
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to ensure the student's needs are met
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Monitor and report on the student's progress
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support are desirable
