Job Advertisement: 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Central Stockport
Start Date: September 2024

Tradewind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 SEND role at a highly-regarded, one-form entry school in central Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a child with complex requirements while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to a student with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Assist in implementing personalised learning plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to ensure the student's needs are met
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and report on the student's progress

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support are desirable
