SENDCo / Special Education Coordinator - SN5

Are you passionate about leading the way in special education? My client, a dynamic primary school in Swindon, is seeking a qualified SENDCo to champion and manage all aspects of SEND. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage all areas of SEND across the school
  • Support the Headteacher in safeguarding responsibilities
  • Teach part-time, focusing on the Complex Needs Unit (0.4)
  • Develop and implement SEND policies and action plans
  • Oversee the quality of teaching and learning for SEND students
  • Line manage the Complex Needs Unit and SRP
  • Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • NASENCO Qualification or willingness to complete within 2 years
  • Significant experience in SEND teaching and staff management
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
