Global Health and Wellness company are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Munich office.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Finance Manager, EMEA, the Senior Accountant is accountable for accurate reporting of financial results and managing the financial affairs for the German entity and overseeing aspects of accounting for the European entities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee aspects of accounting for the European entities, billing, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.
  • Maintain general ledger reconciliations with adequate documentation for all balance sheet accounts.
  • Responsible for financial reporting, analysis, and commentary.
  • Establish and maintain the company’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit of the German entity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
  • 3 - 5 years of direct experience in the field.
  • Experience supporting annual audits.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • German GAAP experience is a must
  • Needs to speak German / English
