Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client a highly prominent, top 100 firm with ultra-modern offices based in Central Cambridge that are now in a position to recruit for a experienced and qualified Senior Accountant into their Business Services team.

Role Responsibilities

• You will be supporting on a truly diverse portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries to include professional services, agriculture, tech and manufacturing of varying turnover up to £25 million.
• Drafting year-end financial statements in accordance with FRS102-1A and computations for corporation tax CT600 returns and submission to the HMRC
• Producing self-assessment tax returns for directors and sole traders and submission to the HMRC
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns for clients
• Liaising with clients over the phone and on site, resolving any queries and offering advice as required

Personal Requirements

• AAT qualified and/or ACCA/ ACA part-qualified or newly qualified with at least 3 years experience as a Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant working for a UK based accountancy practice.
• Confident in drafting year-end accounts, production of corporation and personal tax, VAT and bookkeeping related duties
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and liaise with the HMRC on their behalf
• Proficient in the use of various Cloud accounting software to include XERO, Sage50 and Quickbooks
• Full, clean driving license
