Senior Accountant

NXTGEN seeks an ambitious Senior Accountant to join a leading Accountancy practice based in Norwich. As a Senior Accountant, you'll become part of a dynamic Accounts team, working across diverse sectors with opportunities to engage in complex tasks and projects. Taking charge of a portfolio of clients, you'll deliver top-notch general practice services, providing technical support for month-end submissions and assisting business owners with any account-related queries or issues.

In addition to your core responsibilities, as Senior Accountant you will also mentor junior staff to support their professional growth and studies. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of year-end statutory returns
• Assisting the Corporate Tax team with SME client tax computations
• Offering insights on monthly business performance to clients
• Addressing business owners' tax inquiries
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of trainees

Ideally, candidates will possess a full accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) along with prior experience in an accountancy firm. However, those with relevant experience and a track record in general practice are also encouraged to apply. Knowledge of UK statutory and corporate tax legislation is essential.
