Part of a global business, our client is a manufacturing organisation based in Stowmarket, and we are currently supporting them with the recruitment of a Senior Accountant.
The is a fantastic role with a family orientated company, with a strong culture and good benefits. Due to the nature of the operations, this is a site based role that would suit a qualified and experienced accountant.
The primary responsibility will be overseeing and performing specific accounting processes, budget development, and  financial analysis, including managing a small finance team.
Duties include:
  • Overview of a finance function that is responsible for producing complex and interrelated financial statements, tax returns, analyses, payroll, and reports.
  • Supporting the Accounting Manager to assist in monthly management accounting process and budgeting cycles
  • Responsible for the compilation, analysis, presentation and monitoring of the consolidated annual budget
  • Oversees and assists in audit preparation by developing required schedules and reconciliation reports.
  • Monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects.
  • Oversees and reviews payroll administration
Candidates should be fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA certificate) and have a broad background in accounting, including management accounts productions, budget development and financial analysis.  Candidates will ideally also have supervisory or management experience and knowledge of UK tax laws.
