Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks.
Duties:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Perform data entry to update and maintain financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Utilize accounting software such as XERO and STIRLING
- Collaborate with the finance team to support various financial projects.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Handle inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
- Take telephone enquiries and queries from clients and drivers.
- Assist drivers with the start of their shift and hand over lorry keys.
- General admin tasks such as photocopying, picking up emails, and dealing with paperwork.
- Training will be provided on in house processes.
- Proven experience working in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and Stirling (training will be provided if necessary)
- Strong understanding of financial services and principles
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Familiarity with Workday is a plus.
- Ability to work well independently and communicate effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Full-time
- £27,000-£28,000 per year
- 40 per week
- Company pension
- Free parking
- On-site parking
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
