Join the ICAEW in a new position as a Senior Assessment Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of business-critical functions within the Education & Training department.

Role Profile

You will be accountable for all quality assurance and results processes. You will also perform a key governance role through oversight of the business of ICAEW's Assessment Committee.

You will manage the Assessment Quality Assurance Manager and Assessment Results Manager. At times, you will be required to act as a deputy for the Head of Assessment.

Responsibilities include:

* Accountable for all quality assurance and results processes and outcomes within the Assessment Team. Ownership of these reporting lines and activities. Act as manager to the Assessment Quality Assurance Manager and Assessment Results Manager.

* Address and resolve operational issues using good judgement to balance cost, risk and reputational factors, taking appropriate high-stakes budget and spend decisions, and engaging with internal or external finance and legal specialists where necessary.

* Responsible for high-stakes decisions on student misconduct outcomes and exam disruption appeals; presentation of cases to the Assessment Committee.

* Draft and/or agree communications to students, employers, and tuition providers to reflect issues or changes in the assessment environment.

* Develop assessment policies and make proposals to the Assessment Committee to reflect changes in ICAEW's assessment approach.

Candidate Profile

Requirements include:


Essential Criteria
* Experience of complex operational or project management
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience of leadership

Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge of ICAEW or the ACA
* Knowledge of assessment processes
* Experience of working in an education or assessment environment
