The opportunity

We are looking for a highly-motivated Legal Operations Senior Associate with a strong technical background in data analytics and workflow automation to join our Global Legal Operations team. As part of EY's Global General Counsel's Office (Global GCO), you will play a pivotal role in driving technology and process innovation across our legal teams worldwide. This is an opportunity to leverage your technical expertise to transform legal operations, enabling informed decision-making and fostering continuous improvement through cutting-edge technology solutions.

This role offers the flexibility to be remote-based out of any EY office but will require collaboration with colleagues primarily in the US/UK and support for stakeholders globally.

Your key responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced data analytics to uncover insights, predict trends, and inform strategic decisions within the legal department.
  • Design and implement sophisticated reporting tools, metrics, and dashboards to track and enhance legal operations performance.
  • Lead the administration and continuous improvement of core legal technology systems, focusing on automation and process efficiency.
  • Spearhead the integration of new legal tech solutions, from requirements analysis to deployment, ensuring seamless adoption and maximum impact.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge management resources, including user manuals, training materials, and process documentation, to support legal technology initiatives.
  • Deliver expert training and support to legal professionals on the latest technology tools and best practices, fostering a culture of tech-savviness and innovation.
  • Optimize legal workflows through automation, enhancing compliance, and driving efficiency across all legal processes.
  • Identify ways to optimize workflows, processes, and policies to ensure compliance and improved efficiency.
Skills and attributes for success
  • A tech-savvy innovator with a proven track record in data analytics and process automation.
  • Proficient in advanced legal technology tools and platforms, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI).
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights and tangible improvements.
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to driving change and delivering results.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with experience in leading transformative initiatives within legal operations.

To qualify for the role you must have
  • A strong foundation in data analytics, workflow automation, and legal technology.
  • Demonstrated experience with Power Platform and other automation tools to streamline legal processes.
  • A track record of successful project management and change implementation in a legal operations context.
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A self-starter mentality with a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • A problem-solving and creative mindset, be eager to learn and continuously improve.
  • A passion for innovation and a drive to challenge the status quo to achieve operational excellence
  • Undergraduate/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3-4 years related experience
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and/or emerging technologies such as generative AI
  • High degree of cultural awareness.
  • Experience of working in a global environment.
