Senior Backend Developer - Manchester

Our client is currently looking for a Senior backend developer to help set up a wider team, this role will offer great career growth opportunities and the opportunity for you to develop your own expertise while helping form the cross functional engineering team.

Our client offers a range of services benefiting throgh their EAP , supporting a range of clients specifically in the public sector.

As this role will create the foundations of the engineering team, it requires 5 days a week in their Manchester office. This will allow you to develop the team and create a growing and positive culture.

Key Skills

  • mastery of C# (.NET 6+ preferred)
  • expert in SQL Server
  • extensive experience in test Driven Development (NUnit preferred)
  • advanced version control using Git
  • Highly proficient in creating and maintaining RESTful & GraphQL APIs
  • SOLID & OOP principles.
Responsibilities:

  1. Writing Unit Tests to support quality of code
  2. Understanding the value of TDD/BDD/E2E and when to implement
  3. To be pro-active in suggesting improvements to the system, or new tools or ways of working
  4. Work closely with the PO/BA, developers and stakeholders to recommend and agree technological solutions to meet business requirements
  5. Support and mentor other developers within the department and the group, actively helping them progress encouraging best practises

This role will work closely with the Salesforce team and give you the chance to upskill yourself within this platform due to the collaboration of the wider teams.
