We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to join a company based in Ascot. The position will be office based and you must also be able to hit the ground running. Your role will be varied & challenging, working in a small, close-knit environment. The organisation is profitable and looking to grow over the coming years so overall, this is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join the business and work in a varied and challenging, enjoyable position within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Maintaining the sales ledger and purchase ledger
  • Submitting VAT returns, cashflows, budgeting, basic forecasting
  • Bank reconciliations, posting journals, prepayments, accruals and fixed assets
  • Cashflows
  • General Bookkeeping duties plus any ad hoc projects as and when required
  • Processing expense claims
  • Knowledge of Sage and Xero essential

Requirements:

  • Ideally at least 3/5 years of recent experience in a similar Bookkeeping/Accountant role
  • Positive, proactive approach with excellent communication skills
  • Highly confidential, trustworthy and conscientious
  • Strong IT literacy, including a good working knowledge of Excel and accountancy software in particular Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
