Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor (Asset Management Team)

Note: The successful candidate will be required to drive their own vehicle for work purposes.

Our client, within the Public Sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join their Housing Asset Planning Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified building surveyor with expertise in medium to large scale construction maintenance and refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phases of RIBA Workplan Stages 0 - 4.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct property reviews, surveys, and assessments on existing housing assets, as well as on acquisitions, and provide comprehensive feasibility reports with clear recommendations for necessary works.

2. Identify property repair issues, diagnose problems, and determine the required remedial actions.

3. Collaborate with residents to ensure a positive housing experience and address any concerns they may have.

4. Assist in setting initial budget costs and liaise with relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective management of the works process.

5. Oversee the scoping and packaging of works, including the tender process, in preparation for on-site delivery.

Requirements:

Qualified building surveyor with experience in undertaking works beyond repair inspection and remedial works within the housing industry.
Strong knowledge and understanding of RIBA Workplan Stages 0 - 4.
Excellent project management skills to successfully handle medium to large scale construction maintenance and refurbishment projects.
Ability to produce accurate assessments, feasibility reports, and budget cost estimates.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with consultants, stakeholders, and residents.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Working Patterns:

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week in the office and two days working from home. However, the working pattern may be subject to change based on the needs of the service.
